HI! WE ARE DAVID, SOOJEE AND IRIA ROSE AND WE LIVE IN THE CENTRE OF MADRID.

 

2- WHEN DID YOU BECOME A FAMILY?

 WE WERE MARRIED IN 2019 AND IRIA WAS BORN IN 2022 BUT WE BECAME A FAMILY LONG BEFORE, IVING TOGETHER WITH OUR TWO CATS.

 

3- HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR HOME?

OUR HOME IS FULL OF MEMORIES AS WE HAVE SPENT MANY YEARS HERE, BEFORE HAVING A BABY, AND EVERY CORNER HAS A STORY TO TELL. WHEN WE WERE YOUNGER AND MORE FEARLESS, WE WOULD CREEP OUT ONTO THE ROOF AND WATCH THE SUNSET WITH THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE CITY AND THE MOUNTAINS BEHIND. NOW AS THE YEARS PASS IT BECOMES A LITTLE LESS MINIMAL AND A LITTLE MORE CHAOTIC BUT WE STILL LOVE IT.

 

4- HOW DO YOU COMBINE WORK AND FAMILY?

SOOJEE HAS RECENTLY OPENED MAISON PILATES, A STUDIO THAT SPECIALISES IN DYNAMIC CONTEMPORARY PILATES WITHA VIBE SIMILAR TO INTERNATIONAL STUDIOS IN THE US OR AUSTRALIA (NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: IF YOU ARE IN MADRID YOU CAN'T MISS THIS ONE!! WWW.MAISONPILATESMADRID.COM )

 

5- WOULD YOU SHARE YOUR NUMBER 1 FAMILY DINNER RECIPE?

BIBIMBAP! HEALTHY AND EASY :)

SAUTÉE FINELY CHOPPED CARROTS, ONIONS, ZUCCHINI AND SPINACH WITH A BIT OF SESAME OIL. PREPARE BEAN SPROUTS COOKING OVER HIGH HEAT FOR A FEW MINUTES IN SALTY WATER. PLACE ALL THE INGREDIENTS WITH SOME KIMCHI, CHOPPED TOASTED NORI AND A FRIED EGG. SPRINKLE WITH ROASTED SESAME SEEDS AND SERVE WITH A DOLLOP OF GOCHUJANG.

 

6- AT YOUR HOME WHO IS USING THE MiNiMONO AND WHAT FOR?

WE ALL ARE! PROBABLY IRIA THE MOST, WHO LIKES TO SIT ON IT AND SCRAMBLE UP IT, SOMETIMES SHE WILL LINE UP HET TOYS ON THE TOP SHELF OR DRAW. DAVID SOMETIMES USES IT AS A LITTLE TABLE TO REST HIS BEER OR SNACK ON WHEN WATCHING A GAME.
